The Westgate Punt, ferry people from Spotswood Jetty at Douglas Parade, near the Spotswood Science works Museum to Westgate Landing at Lorimer Street in Port Melbourne.Car parking is available at the vicinity of Spotswood Jetty, but majority of the passengers are usually cyclists. The ferry service is a blessing for those who wants to cycle to work. it is a quick, reliable, cheap and healthy way to travel to the city.

This is a very short trip which takes less than ten minutes to cover with a reasonable fare. At Westgate landing there is a bus stop close by and routes 235 and 237 heads to the city. The ferry does not operate on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Good Friday.
In October 2019, when we checked, the weekend fare is $5.00 one way and the weekday fare is $2.70 per crossing.
Latest ticket details and timings for the Ferry can be found here: http://westgatepunt.com/ . Public Transport Victoria oversee the Ferry service. This is not a myki – ticketed service.
