Inverloch Boat Ramp

Location: The Esplanade, Inverloch

Launching on all tides, Tide board located on adjacent Jetty.

Maher’s Landing

Location: Maher’s Landing Road, Maher’s Landing

Launching is affected by tide. Recommended for smaller craft only

Venus Bay

Location: Fishermans Road, Venus Bay

Water restricted by tidal movement. A shallow channel that can only be navigated by shallow drafted, suitably designed vessels during favourable tide conditions

Tarwin Lower Boat Ramp

Location: River Drive, Tarwin Lower

One Ramp of Good Quality. River access, Tidal Constraints, Suitable for shallow drafted vessels only

Location: Lester Road, Yanakie

Sand access and tide affected. For small and large craft into shallow inlet


Sandy Point

Location: Western Beach

Sand access for launching, Tide affected

Location: Lewis Street, Port Welshpool

24-hour water access, all tides, A tide board is situated on Fisherman’s Jetty, 3 lane ramp, holding jetty

Toora Beach

Water access restricted by tidal movement to 45 either side of high tide. Launching and recovery recommended around high tide.

Surf Beaches in Prom Country

Sandy Point

Sandy beach fronts Waratah Bay and popular with surfers as well as swimmers and recreational anglers.

The South Coast Board Riders Club offer free surfing lessons over the summer months to members.

Walkerville

There are several good surf breaks around Walkerville. The Walkerville area is quite rocky, and booties are a necessity. Conditions can be hazardous.

Reasonably exposed beach break with fairly inconsistent surf. Good conditions produced with an offshore wind from the northeast. Groundswell with best conditions from the southwest.
