Water restricted by tidal movement. A shallow channel that can only be navigated by shallow drafted, suitably designed vessels during favourable tide conditions

Surf Beaches in Prom Country
Sandy Point
Sandy beach fronts Waratah Bay and popular with surfers as well as swimmers and recreational anglers.
The South Coast Board Riders Club offer free surfing lessons over the summer months to members.

There are several good surf breaks around Walkerville. The Walkerville area is quite rocky, and booties are a necessity. Conditions can be hazardous.
