Grampians Peaks trail

Grampians Peak trail is a long distance, multi-day walk currently constructed at the Grampians National park meeting world-class standards. Once completed it will be a 160km trail which can be experienced in sections or as a 13-day journey. The trail will connect sandstone outcrops around Mt Zero in the north to Mount Abrupt overlooking the Dunkeld township and the surrounding volcanic plains in the south. This trail is created to give the traveller and unforgettable experience of the peaks and the panoramic views, while giving an insight into the aboriginal culture.

The trail is completed in stages and only the first stage is completed so far. The first stage, 36km walk was opened in May 2015, three-day loop out from Halls Gap over the Wonderland Range and the summit of Mount Rosea.

Prepare and plan for your trip by booking your hike and campsite before you arrive.  For more information on the sites, camp fees and how to book, visit www.parks.vic.gov.au, call into Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre in Halls Gap or phone Parks Victoria on 13 1963.
